Can you use a created player in Diamond Dynasty MLB The Show 24? ›

Unlike previous versions of MLB The Show, the latest game MLB The Show 24 locks your Ballplayer to the Road to the Show mode. This means you can't use your Ballplayer in Diamond Dynasty like in past editions of the series.

MLB The Show 24 introduces a variety of game modes, including the returning favorites Diamond Dynasty, Franchise Mode, Road to the Show, and Storylines. With new features like extended seasons and female player creation, the game offers a comprehensive baseball experience for players of all levels.

(Early Access is available globally for anyone who purchases the MVP, Digital Deluxe, or Negro Leagues Editions).

The Diamond Dynasty implications are the free cards and rewards you'll earn. You'll get cards of each Negro League star as well as a handful of cards from the Jeter Storylines that feasibly can start on your squad out of the gate.

The popular feature allowing fans to add their created players from Road to the Show to their Diamond Dynasty squads has been removed for the newest installment.

“For the first time ever, you can create and play as a female ballplayer, with a unique Road to the Show story that evolves with the player over the course of your career,” it says on MLB The Show's website. “Experience a personalized story where players can interact and build their own baseball career.

Those are unique to this game mode, but they're very straightforward. You can go make trades, sign players, move prospects up and down throughout your farm system, hire coaches, and more. It's all in the franchise menu, giving you complete control of a team.

I play ALL 162 games every pitch at bat in my The Show franchise mode to see if I can break any records whether it would be the 56 game hitting streak, the home run record, stolen base record and longest team win streak record.
